What is a REALTOR®? A REALTOR® is a professional real estate practitioner not only directed to provide proficient services by the law, but guided by a Code of Ethics that is set by the local Association, the South Carolina Association and NATIONAL ASSOCIA?TION OF REALTORS®. The REALTOR® symbol is your key to resources, products and services available to you as a member of the REALTOR® organization. The Code of Ethics of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® is universally recognized as the measure of professionalism in real estate. Adherence to the code is the first great bond between REAL?TORS® across the nation, ensuring higher standards of professional conduct in serving the interests of your clients and customers.
  1. REALTOR® - Real estate profession?als who hold REALTOR® designations are proven leaders in the industry and, on average, earn more annually.
  2. Money Savings - receive excep?tional discounts on REALTOR® meetings and events, insurance coverage, phone service, next day package delivery, car rentals, standard forms (hard copy and software "packages"), and much more.

  10. Professional Development and Education - you can achieve success and earn more by attending high quality educational and designation programs such as GRI, CRS and Profes?sional Standards offered year-round.

Benefits of Local Membership

  • New Member Orientation - this required course covers the 2.5 hrs. NAR mandated, code of ethics, and familiarizes new members with the services offered by the local, state and national Associations. It's also open to any members who are interested in a refresher course.
  • Continuing Education - held locally, these courses help you meet all of your MCE requirements.
  • Monthly Luncheon Meetings -  great chance to network with fellow REALTORS® and to keep up to speed on the latest trends affecting our Industry.
  • Mediation - available to all members as an efficient means of resolving conflicts and as an alternative to arbitration. Also a major tool in resolving disputes for buyers and/or sellers.
  • Social Events - Golf Tournament in May, Oyster Roast in October, REALTOR® Ball in December

To join, download and print out the application form below and bring it to our office. You will also need to supply a copy of your real estate license (pocket card) from LLR, and either a check or credit card information. There is a $250 enrollment/orientation fee (one time), and dues for a full year are $475 (prorated monthly upon joining).
